Terms of Use / Service Agreement

Welcome to Shaadi.com, your personal matchmaking platform. These Terms of Use ("Agreement") set forth the legally binding terms and conditions governing your, User access to and use of the Shaadi.com website ("Site") and its related application ("Applications") as well as the services offered herein, including any membership or subscription services. The Site and the Application (hereinafter collectively referred to as the "Platform") are both owned and operated by People Interactive (India) Private Limited ("Shaadi.com").
This Agreement is published in compliance with Rule 3(1) of the Information Technology (Intermediaries Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021. Users of the Platform are granted a nonexclusive, limited license to use and access the content and services offered in accordance with this Agreement.
The Platform is an advertising and matchmaking facilitation platform, designed to enable individuals to promote their personal matrimonial profiles for the purpose of seeking suitable life partners ("Services"). The Platform replaces traditional classified advertisements with targeted digital outreach and communication tools.
Your access to, use of, browsing, or any other form of interaction with the Platform constitutes your acceptance of, and agreement to be bound by, this Agreement, as amended or modified from time to time. Continued use of the Site following any such amendment or modification shall be deemed to constitute your acceptance of the revised terms of the Agreement. In order to use the Services on the Platform, a User must first register as a "Member".
For the purposes of this Agreement:
"User" means any person who actively uses the Platform and intends to register for availing the Services and to display, promote, or manage his/her profile for legitimate matrimonial purposes.
"Member" means any User who voluntarily submits personal information to the Platform and registers on the Platform, whether such individual avails of the Services as a free or paid member.
Access to the Platform is free. However, Shaadi.com offers Premium Memberships that provide enhanced visibility and communication features, including but not limited to placement in search results, inbox prioritization, profile promotion across the Platform and access to messaging, chat, and video call functionalities.
Shaadi.com reserves the right of admission and membership, and may, at its sole discretion, amend or update this Agreement from time to time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of such modifications.

Shaadi.com to assist Mumbai Police / Statutory Investigation Agency

Shaadi.com is committed to cooperating with law enforcement authorities, including police, the Cyber Crime Investigation Cell and other statutory bodies, in investigating and addressing fraudulent or unlawful activities on the Platform and its related applications on being specifically instructed by the said authorities to do so. To report fraud or misuse, write to us giving full details of your case.

Acceptance of Terms of Use Agreement

The Site is an intermediary as defined under sub-clause (w) of Section 2 of the Information Technology Act, 2000. This Agreement constitutes an electronic record within the meaning of the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Rules made thereunder. This Agreement is an electronically generated contract and does not require any physical or digital signature.
By registering on the Platform and using its Services, the Member hereby expressly consent to the collection, storage, processing, usage, and disclosure of your personally identifiable information, including sensitive personal data or information as defined under the applicable laws, which may include but is not limited to:

contact details, photographs, and identity verification documents.
employment, educational, and financial information (if provided or required for paid memberships); and
any other information voluntarily submitted by you or generated as part of your usage of the Platform.
Shaadi.com may access and process your contact information strictly upon obtaining your consent, and solely for internal training, enhancement, and analytical purposes.

The Member further /consent to Shaadi.com, using third-party tools, verification agencies, or subcontractors to validate the authenticity of the information submitted by the User. This includes conducting checks for past criminal records or other adverse information, at the sole discretion of Shaadi.com, solely for the purpose of protecting the safety and interests of other Members. Please note that we will be unable to provide any Services without the retention and processing of your personally identifiable information.
If you do not consent to the collection, use, or continued processing of your personal or sensitive personal data as outlined above, you are advised not to register or use the Platform.
Should you wish to withdraw your consent or object to the ongoing collection, processing, or storage of your personal data, you are required to discontinue use of the Platform and delete of your profile. You can also do so by sending an email from your registered email address to [email protected], requesting account deletion and withdrawal of consent.

Eligibility

To register as a Member, on the Platform and access or use the Services, the person must be legally competent to enter into a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872, and must have attained the minimum legal marriageable age as prescribed under Indian law—21 years or above for males and 18 years or above for females.
The Platform is intended solely for individuals seeking a lawful matrimonial alliance, and membership is limited to persons legally eligible to enter into matrimony under the personal laws applicable to them. This Platform is strictly for personal, non-commercial use. Membership shall be deemed void where prohibited by law.
By accessing or using the Platform, the User represent and warrant that:

They are an individual natural person (and not a body corporate, partnership, or any other legal entity);
He/she/They possess the full legal right, authority, and capacity to enter into this Agreement;
He/she/They are not subject to any disability, injunction, order, or prohibition issued by any court, tribunal, or competent authority that restricts or prohibits your ability to marry;
the information or content provided by the Member on the Platform does not belong to any other person to whom the Member/User has no right, and is not illegal, false, misleading, defamatory, obscene, libelous, or invasive of another person's privacy.
The Member/User are not prohibited from sharing information lawfully owned or controlled by them, provided that such sharing complies with applicable laws and the Terms of Use.

The Member is registering with the bona fide intention of entering into matrimony, and not for any casual dating, companionship, immoral, illegal, exploitative, or commercial solicitation or fraudulent purposes;
If at any time Shaadi.com, in its sole and absolute discretion, determines or has reasonable grounds to believe that:
- the Member is not eligible for membership, or
- the Member has made any false or misleading representation, or
- the Member is in breach of any provision of this Agreement or applicable law,
Shaadi.com reserves the unconditional right to terminate your access to the Platform and/or suspend or cancel your membership forthwith without prior notice and without any obligation to refund any portion of the unused subscription fees.
You/Member acknowledge that any match suggestions, match communications, or partner recommendations generated and displayed by the Platform are algorithmically derived based on the partner preference inputs provided by you in your profile and are intended solely for your personal consideration. Members are advised and cautioned to independently verify the authenticity, accuracy, and reliability of any information provided by other members, including those bearing the verification blue tic.
Shaadi.com reserves the right to offer promotional communications or third-party benefits to its Members from time to time. However, no personally identifiable information or sensitive personal data shall be shared with any third party for such proposes save and except as provided under this Agreement without your prior, express consent, in compliance with Shaadi.com's privacy policy and applicable privacy laws.

Account Security

The Member shall be solely and exclusively responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the login credentials (including user ID and password) created or assigned at the time of registration on the Platform.
The Member acknowledges and agrees that all activities conducted under their account shall be deemed to have been conducted by the Member, and the Member shall be liable for the same. The Member further expressly consents to the Platform collecting, storing, and using information relating to their activities on the Platform for the limited purposes of displaying curated advertisements, promotional offers, and recommendations, and for facilitating the provision of information about other Members, in accordance with the Platform's Privacy Policy.
The Member undertakes to promptly notify Shaadi.com, in writing, of any actual or suspected unauthorized access to or use of their account, or any other breach of security. Shaadi.com shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or liability incurred by the User or any third party as a result of any unauthorized access to or use of the User's account arising from the User's failure to comply with this clause.

Terms and Termination

This Agreement will be effective, valid and subsisting as long as a Member or User is accessing the Platform or using the Services.
Shaadi.com reserves the right to terminate or suspend your access to the Platform and/or your membership, at any time, with or without cause and without prior notice. Termination may be effected for reasons including, but not limited to:

breach of any provision of this Agreement;
misuse of the Platform for fraudulent, immoral, illegal, exploitative, commercial, non-matrimonial, or unlawful purposes;
engaging in prohibited, offensive, or inappropriate conduct, communications, or activities on or through the Platform.

Notice of such termination may be sent to the Member via the email address registered with your account, and such notice shall be deemed served upon dispatch. In the event your membership is terminated due to a breach of this Agreement, the Member shall not be entitled to any refund of subscription or membership fees, if any, paid by him/her.
Termination of the Member's access to the Platform or use of the Services or cancellation of your membership shall not affect the continuing enforceability of provisions which by their nature or intent are meant to survive the termination. Without limitation clauses dealing with Proprietary Rights, User Conduct, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, and Sections 9 through 18 shall remain in full force and effect notwithstanding any termination.
The duration of any paid membership or Services shall be as per the specific plan or subscription selected by the Member at the time of purchase. Upon expiration, the membership may be renewed subject to applicable fees and terms prevailing at the time of renewal. The unused contact credits, if any, may be carry forwarded, only if the membership is renewed within 7 days from expiry.
In the event that Shaadi.com or its parent company permanently ceases operations, the Member shall be entitled to a refund of 50% of the unused portion of your paid membership fee, calculated on a pro-rata basis, subject to applicable law. The Company shall not be liable for any other claims, damages, or losses arising out of such discontinuation.
Use of the Platform is strictly limited to personal and non-commercial purposes. Members may create and promote individual profiles solely for the purpose of exploring legitimate matrimonial alliances. The Platform is not a casual dating platform and shall not be used for any purpose inconsistent with its intended use as a serious matchmaking service. Use of the Platform for casual dating, companionship, immoral, illegal, exploitative, or commercial solicitation or fraudulent purposes or for any promotional, or unauthorized purpose is strictly prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to:

posting or promoting external unauthorized links, including links to websites that may be deemed to be in a competing business as Shaadi.com, irrespective of the intent;
advertising, soliciting, or promoting any goods, services, businesses, or third-party platforms;
registering or using the Platform on behalf of any organization, company, institution, agency, or business entity.

Entities, whether incorporated or unincorporated, are not permitted to become Members of the Platform or use the Services for any purpose, including data harvesting, lead generation, recruitment, or promotional activities.
Any unauthorized use of the Platform will constitute a violation of this Agreement and applicable law. Shaadi.com reserves the right to initiate and pursue all appropriate legal remedies, including but not limited to civil proceedings, criminal prosecution, and injunctive relief, to address any such unlawful or prohibited conduct.

Member Conduct and Other Terms and Conditions

Shaadi.com reserves the unconditional right, at its sole discretion, to monitor, audit, or review the activity and status of any Member account on the Platform. Shaadi.com may, based on such review or any internal criteria it deems appropriate, restrict, suspend, or terminate access to the Platform with or without prior notice, subject to due intimation.
By registering on the Platform, the Member expressly consent to receive communications via email, SMS, WhatsApp, and telephone calls from Shaadi.com and its Members, including but not limited to mobile verification and transaction-related OTPs sent via secure Payment Gateways and service-related updates, promotions, and matchmaking suggestions.
This consent shall override any preferences the Member may have registered with the Do Not Disturb (DND) Registry or the National Customer Preference Register (NCPR), to the extent permitted under applicable law. All communications shall be limited to service-related, transactional, or consent-based messages in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
The Member may withdraw such consent at any time by deactivating his/her account or by following the process prescribed in the Platform's Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
Each individual Member may maintain only one profile on the Platform. Shaadi.com reserves the right to identify and deactivate or remove multiple accounts created by or for the same individual without any obligation to refund subscription fees associated with such duplicate profiles.
the Member represents and warrants that all content and personal information submitted by him/her is true, accurate, current, and complete. If you create a profile on behalf of another person (e.g., child, sibling, friend), the Member affirms that he/she has valid authorization and consent from such person and the said authorisation will be submitted to Shaadi.com as when we call for the same. Impersonation is a criminal offence punishable under applicable laws, and Shaadi.com reserves the right to pursue legal action in the event of any such violation.
To enhance trust and transparency, Members are strongly encouraged to submit valid government-issued identification (e.g., Driving License, Passport, Aadhaar Card and PAN). Shaadi.com may, in its discretion, require mandatory submission of a valid government issued identity card to unlock certain Platform features, including but not limited to viewing or sharing contact details of other Members, chatting etc.
While Shaadi.com does not monitor off-platform interactions, it is a violation of these Terms to use any information obtained through the Platform to harass, abuse, threaten, solicit, advertise to, or otherwise contact another Member or any employee of Shaadi.com, without their prior, explicit consent. Shaadi.com reserves the right to take appropriate action, including termination of the account to address such misuse and/or initiation of such other action as may be available to Shaadi.com.
Shaadi.com shall have the sole discretion to determine what constitutes abuse, misconduct, or misuse of the Platform or Services. It may take any action it deems appropriate, including suspension, termination, or legal proceedings, to protect its Members, its employees and its proprietary interests.
The Member agrees to engage with other Members and the employees of Shaadi.com respectfully and decently, particularly when using live or interactive features (e.g., Shaadi Meet, Shaadi Live, Near Me). The Member shall ensure appropriate conduct, demeanour, and attire during any such interactions. Harassment of any kind is strictly prohibited and shall result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.
Any member is strictly prohibited from using any automated programs, bots, scripts, spiders, crawlers, or any similar technologies to access, interact with, or collect data from the Platform or the Members.
Shaadi.com reserves the right, but is not obligated, to monitor, screen, or regulate messages/content sent between Members. Shaadi.com may delete the profile, or any message or content it deems, in its sole discretion, to be unwarranted, obscene, misleading, or inappropriate, on being intimated about the same by the recipient/User or found through our internal random checks, without notice to the sender User.
Members are expected to exercise reasonable precautions to protect their privacy and ensure safe interactions. Suggested safety protocols and privacy tips are provided under our "Be Safe Online" guidelines. By registering, he/she agrees to read and adhere to these safety recommendations.
Members who subscribe to VIPShaadi, or any similar premium offering acknowledge and agree to the specific terms and conditions applicable to such services, in addition to this terms and conditions. Use of these services constitutes irrevocable acceptance of those supplemental terms.
To ensure that interactions are initiated only by serious Members :

Free Members shall be able to view chats initiated by Premium Members only after 14 days from the date of their registration.
All chat communications shall be automatically deleted after 90 days from the date of transmission, and Shaadi.com shall have no obligation to retain, recover, or provide access to such messages thereafter.

Proprietary Right

Subject to your continued compliance with these Terms of Use and all applicable laws, Shaadi.com hereby grants a User a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-assignable, non-exclusive, revocable, and non-sublicensable license to access and use the Platform and its Services solely for the lawful and intended purpose of seeking a matrimonial alliance, in accordance with the functionality provided by Shaadi.com.
This license is granted on a worldwide, royalty-free basis and is limited to your personal use only. A User may not use the Platform or its Services for any commercial purpose, resale, redistribution, public display, or any other use not expressly permitted by these Terms.
Any rights not expressly granted herein are reserved by Shaadi.com.
This license, and your authorization to access or use the Services, shall automatically terminate without notice upon:

your breach of any provision of these Terms;
any unauthorized, unlawful, or prohibited use of the Platform;
termination or suspension of your account by Shaadi.com.

Upon such termination, the Member shall immediately cease all access to and use of the Services and destroy any materials downloaded or obtained through the Platform.

Privacy Policy and Content Restrictions

Your access to and use of the Platform and Services is subject to and governed by Shaadi.com's Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference. By using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms of the Privacy Policy and consent to the collection, use, storage, processing, and disclosure of your personal and sensitive personal data as described therein.
Shaadi.com is committed to protecting your privacy and adheres to industry-standard data protection practices and applicable laws. We encourage the User to review Shaadi.com's Privacy Policy regularly to understand how your information is collected and safeguarded.
Shaadi.com owns and retains all proprietary rights in the Platform. The Platform contains the copyrighted material, trademarks, and other proprietary information of Shaadi.com, and/or its licensors. Except for that information which is in the public domain such as member profile or for which permission has been obtained from the User, a User cannot copy, modify, publish, transmit, distribute, perform, display, or sell any such proprietary information. Any such act or an attempted act on your part shall constitute a violation of this Agreement and your membership is liable to be terminated forthwith by Shaadi.com without refund of any of your unused Subscription fees. Shaadi.com reserves the right to take legal action (civil and/or criminal) wherever applicable for any violations.
The Member acknowledges and agree that Shaadi.com reserves the absolute right, at its sole discretion, to review, monitor, screen, edit, or delete any listing, profile, communication, image, or other content (collectively, "Content") posted, transmitted, or made available through the Platform, if such Content:

violates this Agreement,
is unlawful or offensive,
infringes any intellectual property or privacy rights,
threatens the safety or reputation of Shaadi.com, the Platform or its Members or;
is otherwise deemed inappropriate, misleading, or harmful.

Shaadi.com shall not be liable for the removal of any such Content, and such action shall not entitle the Member to any refund or compensation.
By submitting or making available any Content on publicly accessible areas of the Platform, you hereby grant Shaadi.com a worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive license, with the right to sublicense, to use, store, host, reproduce, adapt, publish, translate, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, and distribute such Content for the purpose of operating, promoting, and improving the Platform and Services, including across affiliated matchmaking platforms operated by Shaadi.com or its affiliates.
You further consent to Shaadi.com sharing or displaying such Content with other registered Members or third parties, subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable laws.
By submitting your testimonials or success stories, including any photographs or personal details, you expressly and irrevocably authorize Shaadi.com to use, reproduce, publish, and publicly display such Content on the Platform and in Shaadi.com's marketing materials (online or offline) perpetually, without any further notice or compensation.
You understand that all Content, whether publicly posted or privately transmitted via the Platform, is the sole responsibility of the person from whom such Content originated. You are solely responsible for any Content that you post, upload, share, email, or otherwise transmit through the Platform. Shaadi.com does not guarantee the accuracy, integrity, legality, or quality of such Content and shall not be responsible for any consequences arising from reliance on or use of such Content.
All Members are strongly encouraged to independently verify any information or representations made by other Users/Members prior to taking any decisions, including those related to matrimonial alliances.
Shaadi.com reserves the right to verify the authenticity of any Content posted on the Platform. In connection with such verification, Shaadi.com may, at any time, require you to produce supporting documentation or other evidence in relation to the Content you have posted. Failure to comply or submission of unsatisfactory documents may result in suspension or termination of your Membership, without refund.
The following categories of Content are strictly prohibited on the Platform. Posting or sharing any such Content may result in immediate account termination, removal of the Content, and legal action, including but not limited to reporting to law enforcement authorities. Prohibited Content includes, but is not limited to, the following:

Content that promotes or incites racism, hatred, bigotry, discrimination, or physical harm against any group or individual.
Harassment, stalking, threats, or any form of targeted abuse toward another user.
Transmission of junk mail, chain letters, spamming, or unsolicited mass messaging.
Content that is knowingly false, misleading, defamatory, obscene, libelous, or otherwise unlawful.
Unlawful distribution or reproduction of copyrighted materials, including pirated software, music, or bypassing DRM protections.
Content that contains hidden pages or restricted-access material not linked to from a publicly accessible page.
Any form of pornographic, sexually explicit, or indecent material, including implied or suggestive content.
Material that exploits minors, solicits personal information from individuals under the age of 18, or depicts them in a harmful or sexual context.
Instructions or encouragement to engage in illegal activities, including but not limited to creating weapons, computer viruses, or privacy violations.
Solicitation of login credentials, passwords, or sensitive personal information for unlawful or commercial purposes.
Any unauthorized commercial activity, including advertising, contests, sweepstakes, bartering, or pyramid schemes.
Content that threatens national security, public order, sovereignty or friendly relations with foreign states, or is otherwise prohibited under Indian law.
Impersonation of any person, entity, or falsely claiming affiliation.
Content that misleads recipients regarding the origin of the communication, or is grossly offensive, menacing, or abusive.

You agree to use the Platform in strict compliance with all applicable local, state, and central laws, rules, and regulations, including those relating to data protection, defamation, obscenity, and intellectual property.
You may not include in your publicly visible Member profile any of the following:

telephone numbers,
residential or physical addresses,
personal email addresses, or
external URLs/websites.
Social media handle Ids

You are solely responsible for your advertisement/communications with other Shaadi.com Members. Shaadi.com reserves the right, but has no obligation, to monitor disputes between you and other Members. Shaadi.com also reserves the right to take appropriate action against errant members. However, Shaadi.com is not obliged to share such action with other members, including complainants. Shaadi.com expressly disclaims any responsibility or liability for any transactions or interactions between the members inter-se.

Contributions towards Shaadi.org

Shaadi.org is a Social Initiative by Shaadi.com.
Shaadi.com is only facilitating the transactions on www.shaadi.com for collecting the contribution towards Shaadi.org. Shaadi.org operates as a separate and independent entity distinct from Shaadi.com. Accordingly, Shaadi.com neither exercises control over, nor assumes any responsibility or liability for, the management, application, or end use of the amounts contributed to Shaadi.org. All contributions made towards Shaadi.org are entirely voluntary and non-refundable, and contributors are deemed to have made such contributions at their own discretion and choice.
For any reason if the Shaadi.com agrees to refund the amount paid for subscription, in such an event the amount contributed to Shaadi.org shall not be liable for refund.

Disclaimers

Shaadi.com disclaims all responsibility and liability for any inaccurate, incomplete, false, misleading, unlawful, or otherwise objectionable content or listing posted on the Platform, whether such content is posted by a User, Member, or arises due to any technical or operational component of the Service. Shaadi.com does not assume responsibility for the identity, intentions, conduct, or behaviour of any User or Member, whether occurring through the Platform or during interactions that may occur outside of it, including offline.
Shaadi.com assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications failure, unauthorized access, data breach, theft, alteration, or destruction of any communication or data belonging to or sent by any User or Member, or any communications or notifications sent by Shaadi.com to Members. You acknowledge and accept that such disruptions may occur and that Shaadi.com shall not be liable for any loss or inconvenience caused as a result thereof.
Shaadi.com shall not be liable for any malfunction or technical issues relating to telecommunications networks, internet service providers, computer systems or hardware, servers, software, email systems, or any other equipment, technology, or services used in connection with the Platform, including any resulting injury or damage to any User's or third party's device, hardware, software, or data. Shaadi.com shall not be responsible for any consequences arising from technical failures, server outages, or network congestion, including any temporary unavailability of the Services.
Under no circumstances shall Shaadi.com be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of opportunity, personal injury, financial loss, emotional distress, or reputational harm, arising out of or relating to the use of the Platform or the reliance on any content posted by other Users or Members. You are expressly advised not to share sensitive personal information such as bank account details or credit card information or any kind of financial transaction with other Members, and Shaadi.com disclaims all responsibility for any financial loss, claim, damages or fraud resulting from such disclosures/transactions by the User.
The exchange of matchmaking profiles via Shaadi.com is intended solely as a facilitative tool for matrimonial introductions and does not constitute an offer, recommendation, or guarantee by Shaadi.com with respect to any individual profile. Shaadi.com shall not be responsible or liable for any loss, damage, or adverse consequences arising out of or in connection with any personal, matrimonial, or other relationship initiated through use of the Platform or Services.
The Platform and Services are provided strictly on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis without any express or implied warranties or representations. Shaadi.com expressly disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, availability, reliability, or results. Shaadi.com makes no guarantee, whether express or implied, regarding compatibility or outcomes from use of the Service.
Shaadi.com shall not be liable for any content or listings posted on the Platform by any Member, User, or third party. All such content is the sole responsibility of the person who has posted it. Shaadi.com disclaims any liability for illegal, infringing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable material uploaded or transmitted by Members or Users and shall not be held accountable for any legal or regulatory consequences thereof. The verification status of a Member's mobile number or the verification of a Member's name against government-issued identification documents is conducted solely for basic identity confirmation and shall not be construed as authentication or assurance of the Member's genuineness, character, intent, or compatibility. Shaadi.com expressly disclaims any responsibility or liability for any loss, harm, or damage arising out of reliance on such verification indicators.
Any and all civil or criminal liability arising out of content posted on the Platform shall lie solely with the Member, User, or third party who posted such content. Shaadi.com reserves the right to claim indemnification or damages from such Member, User, or third party for any harm, loss, liability, or reputational damage caused to Shaadi.com as a consequence of such content.

Limitation on Liability

In no event shall Shaadi.com, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, or service providers be liable to you or any third party for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, goodwill, data, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to your access to or use of the Platform, the Service, or any content therein, even if Shaadi.com has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained herein, the total cumulative liability of Shaadi.com to you for any and all claims, losses, damages, liabilities, or causes of action arising under or related to these Terms, the Platform, or the Service, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, shall in no event exceed the total amount, if any, actually paid by you to Shaadi.com for the Services during the subsisting term of your paid membership immediately preceding the date on which the claim arose.

By accessing or using the Platform and/or the Services, you expressly and unconditionally agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or in connection with the use of the Platform, the Services, or this Agreement shall be governed by and construed exclusively in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. You further agree that all such disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, and you hereby irrevocably submit to the jurisdiction of such courts.
You agree to fully indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Shaadi.com, its parent company, affiliates, subsidiaries, directors, officers, employees, agents, and service providers from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, proceedings, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees), arising out of or in connection with: (i) your use of the Platform or the Services in violation of this Agreement; (ii) your breach of any of the terms, representations, warranties, or covenants set forth herein; and/or (iii) any fraud, negligence, or wilful misconduct on your part.
By registering as a Member and/or using the Services, you expressly consent to receive communications, including emails and notifications, from Shaadi.com and its affiliated platforms in relation to your membership, profile activity, and promotional offers. You may unsubscribe from such communications at any time by following the opt-out instructions provided in the email or by modifying your communication preferences through your account settings.
In the event that any User becomes aware of any content or activity by another user that is illegal, false, misleading, defamatory, obscene, libelous, invasive of another person's privacy, or otherwise in violation of these Terms of Use, or if the User has any concerns or grievances in relation to the Platform, such User may report the same to the Platform's Grievance Officer at: grievanceofficer@peopleinteractive. The User agrees that no legal proceedings or other actions shall be initiated against the Platform in respect of such matter unless a grievance has first been raised with the Grievance Officer and a reasonable opportunity has been provided for resolution.
This Agreement constitutes the complete and exclusive understanding and agreement between you and Shaadi.com with respect to the access and use of the Platform and the Services, and supersedes any prior agreements, communications, or representations, whether oral or written. If any provision of this Agreement is found to be unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable, then such provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.
By registering on the Platform and/or by using any part of the Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by this Agreement in its entirety. If you do not agree to be bound by any part of these terms, you are advised not to access or use the Platform or the Services.
